Heavier levels slow morning rush hour...

The Twin Cities morning rush hour continued today with moderate to heavy congestion and no accidents.

The heavy levels were near peak congestion with several areas seeing stop-and-go conditions. Those areas included westbound Interstate Hwy. 94 from Hwy. 120 to I-35E, southbound I-35E from I-694 to Maryland Av., both northbound I-35W and Hwy. 77 from I-35E to the river bridge and southbound I-35W from Lake Dr. to I-694.

Southbound Hwy. 100 was very slow as well from Medicine Lake Rd. to I-394.

The remainder of the metro freeway system moved with moderate congestion and no accidents, according to MnDOT.

Today's forecast calls for patchy fog before 9 a.m. and otherwise partly cloudy with a high around 52. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 miles per hour.

Tonight will partly cloudy with a low around 37. Southeast wind between 3 and 5 miles per hour.
