Caring for baby before birth...

It wasn't that he was unaware that women were turning to alternative medicine -- after all, that's the foundation of his Milford business, which offers treatments from reiki to floatation. He just hadn't realized that, for many women, ensuring natural care for their babies can begin even before they're conceived.

This wasn't new news for Bonnie Frechette at Whole Foods Market in Bellingham, whose store's recent overhaul brought baby items together in a new section for family health. After talking with Rostcheck, the store decided to host a Whole Moms, Whole Babies Expo this Saturday at the Bellingham supermarket.

"I think a lot of families and moms are starting to realize the benefits of organic living and kids," Frechette said. "A lot of people are searching for ways to live healthier lives and to share that with their children -- this will show them some of the options that are out there, both here in the store and in the community."

The day starts at 9 a.m. with a seminar, "Natural Choices for You and Your Baby" presented by Malia Wagner, MS, MPH. Registration is required, due to limited seating.
